Courteous staff , clean and quiet hotel
We were greeted by two very polite receptionists who apologized that the room was not ready for checking-in since we arrived at the hotel before 1 pm. We left our luggage at the hotel store room and were ready to leave for lunch but to our pleasant surprise, we were informed that we could check in after all. I booked a quad sharing room. Standing at the entrance, the room looks rather small for 3 persons but when I entered the room, I saw the high ceiling and the loft ! This was indeed a welcoming sight! The high ceiling somehow makes the room appear slightly bigger. With my adult son occupying the loft, the room did not appear claustrophobic and he had his privacy. The room though not spick and span, was decently clean except for the old-slightly-yellowish looking towels. The beds were comfortable enough but only one hard pillow was provided for each guest. The pillows had seen better days. I resorted to rolling up a bath towel as a neck pillow. The surrounding was quiet since the hotel is tucked away from the main road. It is actually 70 meters away from the main road. The narrow, one-way traffic road has bamboo plants grown on both sides which provide a calming effect to a tired soul. On the flip side, walking to the nearest beach or the Galleria Mall is not convenient owing to the heavy traffic on the main road. Fortunately, it is relatively easy and cheap to hire a car via Gojeck or other available apps. Breakfast was not sumptuous but good for the amount of money I had paid. Overall, I was rather satisfied with my one- night stay at the hotel.
It will be better if the shower head is not fixed high up on the wall. Since I had no control of it, I was forced to wash my hair even though I had no intention to do so.

Lovely Bali, lovely hotel
Very nice ambience. Wonderful staff. Always helpful, respectful and friendly. The swimming pool is lovely. Oddly, even though the earthquake on the first night emptied the hotel, indicating that there were a lot of people staying at the hotel, most of the time at the pool or in the restaurant, we were by ourselves or with only a few other people. As we found out after a few days, it is only a short walk to the Galleria Mall, and the taxi rides running around in circles were unnecessary. The staff are very helpful if you wish to hire a taxi or organise a tour or a private driver
More an observation than a complaint, but sometimes there were some odd noises upstairs. Also, we couldn't charge our phones overnight so we had to make a nuisance of ourselves by asking the desk staff to charge our phones
